Why We Built This Site
Colorado gives the public access to many records, but the correct Morgan County office depends on the record type. Morgan Combined Court handles District Court and County Court files at the state court level. Debra Welsch, the Clerk of Court, is the court-side contact for case records, dispositions, divorce decrees, docket help, and probate filings. Kevin Strauch, the Morgan County Clerk and Recorder, is a separate county official responsible for recorded documents, marriage and civil union licenses, motor vehicle, elections, and county CORA coordination.
The split can confuse people because both offices use the word clerk. This site separates court records from county recordings and points readers to the official office, court, or statewide tool that matches the task.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
